We started making novelty helmets in 1992 in the Daytona Beach area. At that time there were less than a dozen novelty helmet shops in all of the US and they were all in Florida. Those few shops supplied the world with novelty helmets. Like any good thing they were eventually copied and manufactured overseas. Due to lower labor and lower materials cost of overseas manufacturers we couldn't compete. One by one the local fiberglass shops couldn't survive and were forced to shut down. In 1998 the HelmetsRus web site was created. At first we only sold USA made novelty helmets that we made and a lot of good quality airbrushed and even custom airbrushed novelty helmets. Eventually we started offering name brand motorcycle helmets on our web site. We don't have a multi-line telephone answering system. When you call and get switched to our voice mail we are either on the phone with another customer or we are out of the office. If you leave a message be sure to leave a number we can reach you at. If an error is made, give us the benefit of the doubt that it was an error and we will correct it within a reasonable time. We don't blast you when you order the wrong size helmet or forget to select a size or enter the wrong credit card or shipping information like an expired expiration date. For quickest response contact us by email, we check our email throughout the day and night and over the weekend. Include your full name and order number if you have one. One very common error is when an incorrect email address is entered on an order. If you placed an order with us and did not get a confirmation by email your email address may have been entered wrong. The most common reason for a denied credit card is a wrong expiration date, double check the card number, expiration date and email address before completing your order.
